AFTAC Ironman mile 60

It feels like I'm trying to pull a cow behind me...

There was a police cruiser parked on the side of the trail today. There was one cop in it and one leaning on it. I waved, they waved...
On my return leg, a detective was at the spot, not the cuiser. He hauled a shoppin cart with what looked like a gurney on it from a shrub near a building... What I am I supposed to make of this?
